Gum Health

Taking care of your gums is a necessary practice because three out of four adults will experience some form of gum disease in their lifetime. Gum disesase has been linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and pre-term low birth weight. The first symptoms of gum disease are most often painless, although some patients will experience red, swollen, or tender gum tissue.

Our practice employs dental software and voice recognition software to record swelling, bleeding, and loss of gum tissue. The health of the gum tissue can be graphed and compared to previous recordings to catch even small changes at the earliest possible time.

Whether or not you think you may have gum disease, your general dentist can diagnose and treat it.
