Veneers

Patients that have spaces between their teeth, crowded teeth, small teeth, or even teeth that are so darkly discolored that bleaching is not effective, can change their smile in just two visits with porcelain veneers.

The "smile design" process includes allowing the patient to select the color and final shape of the teeth. Customized temporaries are fabricated to simulate the final design that is used to evaluate not only the esthetic changes but how the new smile will function in the bite.

There are different types of veneers that can be used. The most commonly used are ultra-thin and known as "Lumineer" or "Durathin" veneers and require no reduction of the tooth. Porcelain veneers are similar to an acrylic nail, where a thin porcelain is bonded to the tooth to change the shape and color of the teeth.
